Bought the old girl for $500, and it looked like she was in need of some loving. Possibility of some domestic abuse from the roadway, possibly a crash. She turned over but couldn't idle. Port City 'Peds fixed it right up quick. I was ecstatic to have it running before all this warm weather rolled in. I am glad I will be able to cruise the town this summer on it. These guys are awesome, friendly, honest and know absolutely everything about peds. I have nothing but praise. LONG LIVE PEDS!

1976 Mobylette
This is a 1976 Motobecane that I found with a "free" sign by the side of the road. It hadn't been registered since 1985, and had a seized engine. I didn't know much about mopeds, but this thing was seriously retro-cool. Before I could even walk it home, somebody offered to buy it from me, so I knew I was on to something. As soon as my wife saw it, she said she didn't care how much it cost to fix she was going to be it's new rider. Okay, now what...Port City Peds brought this thing back from the dead. Steve and Chaz are miracle workers with these things. Kim has been riding around the Capitol City tooting her horn greeting people in French ever since. Oh, and the prices are great too.

1976 Columbia Commuter
I got my first moped over the summer, and it didn't need much. But I brought it over to PCP because a friend of mine recommended them. They fixed a couple of loose ends and found me a kick-stand! Now my moped doesn't fall over!

Sachs Prima G3
What to say about the guys at Port City Peds besides these guys are the best! Over my moped career, (not very long) Steve and Chas have helped me with any and every question regarding any engine with two wheels on it. Whether it be Chas doing a full tune up on my old Batavus, or Steve doing a complete engine rebuild on my Sachs, I can\'t thank these guys enough. These guys will tell you what you need and put the other nonsense aside. Steve has been such a great help with any problem or question I faced with mopeds; call him up, he knows exactly what the problem is every time and will walk you through fixing it. Can\'t thank these guys enough for all the hard work and advice. If you are having any type of moped or small engine problem, Port City Peds will get you riding in no time!

1980 Honda Express
Port City Peds was more than helpful with my process of searching for, choosing, and eventually buying my Express. The vintage yet stylish collection they offer are appealing, but very affordable. I recommend these guys to anyone looking to purchase a moped, repairs, or answers to questions. They are extremely knowledgeable and are able to fix any problem, small or large. Thanks Port City Peds, I look forward to working with you in the future.

(5) 1978/79 Mobylettes
A year ago I bought a 1979 cherry red Mobylette and named it Madeline... I had gone on a blind date. It was clear from the get that the simple paper understanding of electronics and basic engines I had would not be enough to apply practically to the design the French had conjured up. I figured I should bring it to PCP instead. The boys at PCP really know the fixings to putting together a bike. Trust me, let these guys take care of all your repairs, they've rebuilt more carbs and engines from more countries than most people have ever even seen or heard of. And they do it with precision and care. They wont rush a job, or ever compromise the integrity of their work. Basically... PCP is as legit as they come. whether its a Kinetic from India, to a Moby from France, Steve and the gang know how to get the wheels turning, and they make sure they stay turning... usually in style, unless you ride a Puch ;) Reliable, fast service, parts on hand, and cool dudes, whats not to love about PCP?

Port City 'Peds is one damn fine institution. The guys rebuilt my Puch and now I ride the streets in style. They really know the ins and outs of wrenching and are always a phone call away. If you're thinking of buying a moped, look no further.

Steve at Port City 'Peds turned my Jawa from a hopeless piece of a junk into a strong daily driver. The tune up and service I received from Port City 'Peds was great: finished all the work very fast reasonable pricing and an overall great experience will most definitely return in the future, and advise all to bring there peds over to Steve!

'76 Puch Maxi
Wouldn't trust anyone else but PCP with my maxi. Steve and the boys really know what they're doing, and they put a lot of passion into it. They did wonders to my maxi by adding a techno boss performance pipe and high comp head to it, giving it that extra pep in its step. Not to mention the countless fix ups whenever something breaks. Indeed, these guys do a great job and keep my ped purring like a cat.

These guys are great! From tuning up my ped, to get some extra MPH, to swapping a flat tube, these guys are experienced and expedient. What's more, is these guys will chat with you about all the ped stuff you would ever want to know about. You guys keep me on the road. Thanks!

Feeling that I immediately needed a moped, I purchased one without knowing anything about how they work. So, when I started having issues with it starting up I did not know where to turn. Through the grape vine I heard of Port City Peds, and I could not have asked for any more helpful and efficient service. They showed great attentiveness to my moped, frequently kept me updated on the status of it, and showed and equal eagerness to my own in getting it running again. Weeks later when I decided to do some work of my own they happily walked me through any questions I had. Thanks to Port City Peds I am an excited member of the moped community, and in the words of Chas, "Lets get back on the road.

Matching Pepi Sports
The Whites have utilized the services of PCP to get our two 1980 Pepi Sport mopeds running their best. These two camp bikes get plenty of use from the White boys on the dirt and paved camp roads in Ossipee. Steve, Celis and Chas have all worked on the bikes solving each issue promptly and at a reasonable cost. Previously, we had another moped "mechanic" work on the bikes with limited success. We would highly recommend using the guys at PCP for all of your moped needs.

Tomos Sprint
After purchasing my Tomos moped used off of the internet, I went through wasting lots of money on repairing my moped myself. Unfortunately for my bike and I, my attempts were unsatisfactory. After learning of Steve.s moped expertise, I contacted him for help with my ped. He has come to my house and worked on my bike a total of two times. The result of each time is an out-of-the-factory like performance. I had no idea that my .95 moped was ever capable of idling so smoothly, stopping so quickly, and running in the condition it does now. As long as I am a moped rider, Port City Peds will have my full support for the quality of work, level of customer service, and best moped affordability. Keep your eyes open for this Red Tomos Sprint with the stickered helmet rider around Portsmouth Downtown and Rye beach!

Scott & Charlotte McPherson
Portsmouth, NH
Motobecane 50V and Honda Urban Express
We were first introduced to Steven and Celis in the summer of 2008. Steve sold Scott a '76 Motebecane that had been meticulously restored and continues to run like a dream. The few problems that he's had with it post-sale have been minor at worst and are dealt with swiftly and competently; a call to Steve or Celis is always answered right away, and they're usually at our house, tools in hand, taking care of business, in no time at all. Charlotte bought an '82 Honda off of craigslist that same summer from a couple in Freeport, Maine, who had not taken very good care of it. It needed quite a bit of work, and proved somewhat of a puzzle, but Cellis did not give up until Charlotte had it back purring like a kitten; a modification from Steve in the summer of '09 added a much-needed 4-5 mph to the top-end.

The guys at Port City Peds treat everyone like family and are always shocking us with their reliability and timeliness. Malaguti Commuter
have been a friend of PCP for a while, and recently became a customer when I purchased a Malaguti Commuter from them. It is a fixer upper, which is what I was looking for, but Steve made sure that the moped was starting and running well when I bought it. He also provided me with a manual. PCP has always ensured great service, and I will always be a loyal customer, especially because the business is so accessible with this new website! The crew is a team that communicates well and always gets the job done to perfection. I want to thank PCP for everything they have done, and encourage every potential customer to talk to their array of specialists. Sincerely, Joe Navelski, a loyal PCP customer

Motobecane 50V
Nobody knows peds like Steve, and we're damn lucky he lives in the Seacoast. He took my decrepit broken down Moby and turned it into a purring machine easily capable of reaching 35 mph. Best of all, Steve is a dead honest mechanic, letting you know exactly what needs to be done and exactly what it's going to cost. That's something you don't see every day!
